GUEST BLOG Katie R. Day,
Quinnipiac University School of Law Graduate
While I’m trying to enjoy this week between law school and bar prep, I can’t help but feel a little jittery, like there are a billion butterflies in my stomach.
Last weekend I graduated from law school! Bar prep is on the horizon.
Law school graduation was a weekend filled with celebration and friends and family, and I had a blast. But now that my graduation weekend has come and gone, my attention has turned to my next task: the bar exam.
Starting next week, I’ll be in full bar prep mode. I’ll be going to my BARBRI classes, doing the homework, and studying harder than I ever have. While I’m trying to enjoy this week between law school and BARBRI, I can’t help but feel a little jittery, like there are a billion butterflies in my stomach.
I know I’m not the only one feeling this way, so I wanted to use this post to let my fellow bar preppers know that I’m right there with you! Nerves? Yep, I’ve got them. Fear about failing the bar? Got that too. Anxiety about the amount of work required? You betcha.
But I think being a little scared is a good thing. It means we care. It means that passing the bar exam is something that is really meaningful. It means that we’re dreaming big!
As we head into bar prep, I want to leave you with two quotes that I love. I hope they’ll encourage and motivate you as you head into bar prep and as you follow your dream of being a practicing attorney!
