Happy belated Valentine’s Day to all of my fellow law students!

On Tuesday, Valentine’s Day, students showed up to my evening class with Valentine’s treats. The professor also brought treats for the class. While this was not required, or necessary, it was a genuinely thoughtful thing to do. Myself and the other students appreciated and enjoyed the treats!

There is no doubt that law school fosters a competitive environment, especially around midterms and finals. Sometimes this environment does not always create the most friendly atmosphere, however, occasionally law students are able to rally together and support each other. I was pleasantly surprised when the professor and students brought treats to class on Valentine’s Day. I have also had positive experiences with other students bringing candy or other things to the last day of class.  It is really encouraging to know that students and professors genuinely care about one another – bringing goodies is just one way to show it.
