Getting closer to the date definitely made it more real. My mind has wandered off thinking about possibilities and future opportunities.
It is April, meaning the registration for the July exam is open.
I carefully filled out my details, paid the registration fee and there it was, my confirmation email. No going back now… I had to find new strategies to make it to the finish line. I cancelled my Netflix subscription and decided to treat myself for brunch every Saturday before the intensive studying. I looked up a couple of hip coffee shops in town and as good millennial would, I set up a camp in the corner with my laptop and BARBRI books.
Getting closer to the date definitely made it more real. My mind has wandered off thinking about possibilities and future opportunities. It certainly encouraged me to study harder and made me want to turn my ambition into a visible progress. The extra hours I spend in my office after work, just so I can revise and stay on track must pay off one day. It may come in the form of a passed exam, or a lesson I learnt during the process. Either way I’ll be richer at the end of it.
And worry not folks, I did not stop travelling. Taking off to Portland next month. Got my notes ready on my tablet. I might get through Real Property and Criminal Procedures by the end of my 12-hour flight. Keep it weird Portland, ‘cos I’m coming to town!
